I agree that there are so many views purported to be valid, that children can easily become confused. They need a solid grounding in the TRUTH as they grow into adulthood. They need to experience LOVE that never fails. They need to HELP one another as they study together. They also need MODELING of believing adults in prayer, reverence for God's Word, love and faithfulness, and DEPENDENCE upon God for their every need.
I remember my first venture into the Sunday School classroom when I was in my early 20s. The 2nd grade teacher asked me to sub for her, and I had no training and a very short background in Christianity (just a few months). Well, I am still venturing into the classroom more than 30 years later. Of course now I have a wonderful co-leader in my wife, and many years of training and experience. I must depend upon God even now. He empowers me to lead according to each child's needs.
